The aim of this website is to document the Kimberley Toad Busters fight to stop the cane toad crossing into Western Australia and to provide the Western Australian Community some understanding of the enormous efforts (and contributions) that can be made by unpaid volunteers!

To the people of the Kimberley,

Kimberley Toad Busters and Kimberley Wildlife Rescue are excited to extend an invitation to participate in a round of competitions celebrating biodiversity of the Kimberley, and raising awareness of threats. All entrants will be displayed at the Caring for the Kimberley Environmental Forum, 19th – 21st March 2010, Youth Centre, Kununurra. Prizes will be awarded to the winning entrants in an award ceremony at the Forum.
The four competition categories are:

Theme ‘If everyone was a toad buster the toads would be busted’ Threats to Kimberley wildlife 'What's in Your Backyard?' - Kimberley Wildlife Threats to the Kimberley
Method
Entrants free to use any method of display that raises awareness of cane toads, why they need to be ‘busted’ and/or safe ways of ‘busting.’
Power-point style presentation using 20 slides over 6 minutes and 40 seconds to provide a powerful environmental message.
Photo must have been taken in the Kimberley. All creatures from the smallest invertebrate to the largest crocodile are welcomed.
Open to all visual art.
No photographic art.

Kimberley Toad Busters and Kimberley Wildlife Rescue are able to provide supporting educational material for classroom activities on Kimberley Biodiversity, What’s in Your Backyard?, Cane Toads and Wildlife First Aid. We will be visiting schools to raise awareness of the competitions, the Forum and hear feedback regarding suitable photographic equipment for prizes.
